Beginner 3D Modeling & Printing
Beginner 3D Modeling & Printing
Design, create and print unique 3D models. Use the Design Thinking Process to ideate, prototype, and test original creations. All levels of experience welcome!
Age: 5 - 14
Time: 9AM - 3PM
Program Detail:
Playful creativity guides students through this course as they utilize physics, geometry concepts, and spacial awareness. Breaking away from a traditional classroom environment, Blaze camp is the perfect place for budding builders, makers, and tinkerers.
Students design, create, prototype, test, and manipulate by learning Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to print 3D models. Throughout the process, students learn the fundamentals of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) critical for professional 3D manufacturing. By designing and printing progressively more complex models, students learn the capabilities and limitations of FDM 3D printing technology and learn design principles to apply when creating objects for additive manufacturing.
